Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in all facets of kitchen operations and be a proven leader, with the ability to really engage and motivate their team.

A rare opportunity has opened at the North Bondi RSL for an experienced and motivated Head Chef, with a passion for great food and hospitality, to lead our talented and fast paced kitchen brigade.

This is a key role in our business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily Catering Operations, including clear and open communication with front of house
  • Managing menu planning, production, and pricing in line with catering objectives and executive directions
  • Managing, training, and mentoring your team to deliver a consistent high standard of service
  • Efficient and effective stock management and control
  • Implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures to minimise wastage and over production
  • Ensuring development of and adherence to Food Safety and all relevant trade and WH&S requirements

To be successful in this important leadership role you will have:

  • A minimum of five (5) years kitchen management experience in a similar operation
  • Confidence working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in creative menu design and being up to date with dynamic food trends
  • Solid Financial Reporting skills including Labour, Stock and Wastage
  • A friendly, enthusiastic nature with a focus on providing the highest level of customer service at all times
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of personal presentation and attire
